He'd lock down my vote instantly.

Justin Amash would be the ideal LP nominee. I’d have to wait until closer to the election before I decided whom to support, but I’d look very favorably on him and his candidacy.

Curious if he could be on the Michigan ballot for both Congress and President.

Perhaps even curiouser about whether he could run for president as a libertarian and for congress as a republican.

RE: Justin Amash won't rule out 2020 LP candidacy
I really hate to say it, but with how tenuous things are right now... and how FAR left the Dems have swung, more than ever I think a vote for a Right win 3rd Party is a vote for the Left against Trump.
If you're in a state that is definitely going to go Red... have at it, vote LP to give them more attention and hopefully get them into the debates. But if you're in a battleground state... please stand in lock step with the rest of the conservatives and hold the line against the Socialists.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Lets not lose the War because we're too busy fighting each other in smaller battles.

I've been in enemy of my enemy is my friend mode for years.

Republicans don't do anything for me except not be democrats.

I've voted libertarian since 1980, partly because Texas was pretty safely republican. I don't know what I'll do in 2020.

He’d have my vote. I love in Alabama so the odds of us going blue are about as good as UAB winning the football nc.

I meant in a presidential election. Surely the national republicans wouldn’t pick someone as electable as Moore. I always voted against the guy even back in his Supreme Court days.

it was a federal election. the point is that there is such a thing as ******* up so bad that you can turn even alabama blue, and the first step of that process is thinking something like, "there is no way we can turn alabama blue".

Bama is not blue. The media lied to the God fearing people of the state and they voted for a moron over an accused criminal.

All it proved is Alabama republicans have a conscience and were duped. Won't happen again. Some of us weren't fooled and Kavanaugh is the proof.

I wasn't being critical. mississippi flirted with making nearly the same mistake with chris mcdaniels. it's easier to do that you would think.

I was simply pointing out that saying "there is no way we could turn alabama blue" is the first step in a process that demonstrably turned it blue.

because yonder the sits the big idiot in the senate tight now.

Amash has now (18th May) posted on Twitter that he supports the impeachment of President Trump

The plot thickens!

Voting for Tulsi in the primary. Assuming she doesn't win the nomination, I'm probably going to just sit 2020 out. Trump hasn't earned my vote, and the libertarian party is cringe and blue-pilled.
