At this point, I begin to doubt if beto will run. He challenged Trump on his home turf, and was humiliated. He may still run solely because he has nothing else to do, but his novelty factor has worn off. His stock has plummeted.

Sen. Kamala Harris - She has a good shot. she can't be criticized because he is African American and female..(think Obama)… can she appeal to moderates? Can she think on her feet? She really fumbled the Jussie question.
ex mayor Julian Castro - Dude has no traction... his ethnicity helps and he is liked by Barrack...has no real personality... has no real traction... strong vp option. longshot for president.
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard - a wackadoo… sometimes centrists..sometimes a libertarian... has taken positions that anger the extreme left..

Personally I like Tulsi more than any of the rest... but she's not extreme enough to get the nomination. But I dont see anyone other than the top 3 I listed really happening. Those three have enough mindshare that as long as they dont do something stupid they have a strong chance. The rest will have to prove themselves.

I will be surprised if Bernie doesn't end up getting the nomination. As much as he pissed off a lot of his base, I think they'll come running back because they want free stuff. Also... A lot of dems think Bernie would have beaten Trump in 2016, so they will think that he is their best shot at getting Trump out of office.

Be easier just to say All Democratic Senators except Joe Manchin and Diane Feinstein.

Supposedly the DNC is trying to convince Beto to run for Senate again in Texas instead (against Cornyn). If he doesn't run (for Senate), they'll probably get the other Castro twin to run.

If you aren't going to include Weld yet, you really shouldn't include Gillibrand or Buttigieg yet either.

I do think Cornyn is more popular than Cruz, and that's probably weighing on Beto's mind. I couldn't tell you if either Castro twin is better than the other. The one running for President is an incredible longshot, that's for sure.

When it comes to twins, I think Mark Kelly is a much more viable Senatorial candidate in Arizona. Maybe we can convince Scott Kelly to run in Texas. I think he still lives here?

Beto seems to be okay. He didn't run the far left against Cruz which gain him support from Republican voters who did not like Old Grandpa Munster Ted.

Senator Klobuchar has definitely tried to frame her policies on a more moderate platform than most of the rest of the announced candidates. At a Town Hall yesterday, she said she's against free college for all or free medicare for all.

Not an official prediction, but this tweet caught my eye. It sounds like beto may not be running, and will instead challenge Cornyn. If true, we Texas Republicans have a chance to bury this guy once and for all. As I've said, he caught lightning in a bottle in 2018, rode the hype of muh blue wave, and STILL lost. His stock has plummeted since then.

If he thinks 2020 will yield more net enthusiasm for dems than 2018, he is making a catastrophic miscalculation.
