Well, this thread is about the national debt, which is not the deficit.

And no, I don't particularly remember the left complaining about the debt under Obama, but I sure as hell remember the right complaining about it...so where are they now? 01-wingedeagle

Actually, the deficit is prominently mentioned in the OP... though the headline focuses on the debt because it's 'the bigger negative'.

There can also be a difference between blaming Trump for not fixing it (which he hasn't) and blaming him for its existence.

He was elected to cut it and thus far has not (or at least not meaningfully). I'd have to look at the OMB projections to know whether he's actually added to it or not.

This is prominently mentioned? 03-lol

What are the two major money drains on the Federal Government? Social Security and Medicare. No one is going to vote to reform or remove Social Security and Medicare. Until that happens we will never get control of the National Debt.

Under Trump, with the tax cuts, we will collect in 3 years what it took Obama 5 years to collect.

We dont have a tax REVENUE problem. We have a SPENDING problem. We dont need to RAISE taxes, as that will cut GDP, and the amount of tax revenue coming in. We need to curb spending.

And since you are now a budget hawk, I expect to see posts from you calling out Bernie, AOC, Kamala, and every other numbnut candidate onthe left who are proposing budget busting initiatives to get dumbasses on the left to vote for them.

oh boy...

You do realize there are 80 million more Americans in 2018 than there were in 1992... and that you'd need $172.00 now to equal $100 worth of buying power in 2019.

$1 in 1992 is not equal to $1 in 2019.

And that’s who’s fault again?

We don’t want a growing tax base??
You’re avoiding the question.

Who’s fault is this?

Tell me again about how tax cuts dont spur the economy or increase tax revenue.

THREE TIMES CLINTON.

1.5x to TWO TIMES OBAMA.

Thats Trump's tax revenue numbers.

btw, how much has "buying power" changed in the last 5 years?

Wow. THIS is what you've got?

It's right there in black and white and you implied that it wasn't part of the discussion at all.

The guy who missed it entirely shouldn't be throwing shade at the guy who didn't in ANY regard.

Dude...get over yourself. I know damned well I mentioned it, in passing, the OP! I thought you calling it "prominently" was a tad much as it was only a tiny part of the OP. Certainly not prominent. Not to mention that I didn't "complain" about it as UTSA mentioned.

I'm just amused that you seem to always find anything you can, no matter how innocuous, to make a comment on how I didn't respond properly to another poster when you don't do this to any other poster here. I guess I should be flattered...but I feel more disturbed than anything. 03-lmfao

You really want to blame this on procreation? Not politicians.
