Big Guards For 2019 Class
Sorry for not doing the research but i have a 5 year old daughter with the type A flu so i need you guys. It's become clear that we will be LOADED on the inside next year but i am scared to death of Lomax and Harris being the guards. What big guards are we in on for next year? Decent chance and probably a long shot are both appreciated. Thanks guys!

5*Green (reclass?), 5* RJ Hampton (reclass), 5* Anthony Edwards (most likely of the 3). Watford (while not listed as a gaurd he can play those positions).
Let's not forget a sophomore named Jones who can play there.

I was saying for next year. The other 2 are most likely 2020 class.

Thanks guys. I really think if we can get decent guard play next year( proficient offense and at minimum solid defense) we could be dangerous as the bigs get acclimated to the college game.

I think FSU is regarded as the far and away leader for Edwards with UGA being the dark horse. Of those 3, I would think Jalen Green is our most likely if we get any at all. Most likely outcome though is we get none of the three.

Again Edwards is the only one who's reclassified in that class for NEXT year (that was OPs question).Which is why I said the most likely of those 3. Things could change. And dont sell wiseman short on the recruiting trail. He talks to Edwards everyday.

Harris/Lomax, DJ, Jones, Dandridge/Maurice/Lance Thomas and Wiseman....pretty good squad......and don't count out Boyce, Hardaway, and Wingett.

The future is bright.

Yep, its not Lomax and Harris.

Its Lomax, Harris, Jones, Boyce, Jefferies, Hardaway and Wingett.

THE THING THAT MAY HELP THE SHORTER GUARDS WILL BE THE ERASERS PROTECTING THE LANE NEXT YEAR . I WISH THESE GUYS WERE BIGGER , BUT THEY'RE NOT .
ALSO HAVING A PRESS OR HURRY UP OFFENSE WITH THE TWO SMALLER (QUICKER) GUYS CAN ACTUALLY HELP AT TIMES . HOPEFULLY THERE'LL BE PLENTY OF OPTIONS NEXT SEASON .

He has that deadly disease called CapLockItis. The only real cure is surgery to the patients' keyboard called a CapLockectomy. Nearly a 100% success rate with that surgery although in some extreme cases a second surgery called ShiftKeyEctomy is required.

Most forget Boyce. Also DJ and Trendon can handle the ball. Even so, I'm still thinking there might be a grad transfer guard come into play to provide experience, stability, and roster balance.

Ditto the Antwaan Jones thingy. He makes some mistakes but so did AA, aa, Burks and especially Andre T. as freshmen. He can really pass, rebound and shoot and at times looks brilliant and mature. Really big upside to Jonesy.

Yes. He will be a very good player in the years to come.

I really want Lester Quinones, but I do not know how much they recruiting him. We need shooters and he would fill that void perfectly at 6'5".
