RE: OC is official
NIU fans were happy to see Carey go because of his 0-6 bowl record, questionable clock management, and ultra conservative offensive approach. Did I leave anything out?

Maybe meaningless but the Eidsness' OL and WR coaches also started following Hammock, and the OL coach Eck also started following an associate AD here. Others on the offensive staff haven't.

Again, maybe utterly meaningless and them just wanting to keep up with a program they see on the trail that they're buddy took a job at.

I really wonder how Santa would have progressed if he wasn't pulled for late interceptions in the SDSU game. I thought he looked real good at times, but Carey doesn't like taking chances and the QB's and offense sometimes suiffered from that.

BTW - Temple fans are fully versed on the NIU Fan negativity towards Carey.

I am hopeful that Hammock will resolve all of Carey's shortcomings and I suspect
for Carey to get thee Temple job he reminded them he was undefeated against Chris Creighton and Lance Leipold, the consensus up an coming MAC coaches, also in the mix for the job.

Don't read that site. Mike is a mental case.
That's why Cousin Eddie is so relatable. We all have'em.

It's like when Kane went to SMU. He took another assistant with him. Seems logical for Eidsness to want a couple guys to help implement his offense here.

Is it odd our DL Coach was announced without having a DC in place?

RE: OC is official
A bit off topic, but this is what absolutely drove me nuts watching our offense. They would be moving the ball, good uptempo going, opposing defense is having trouble getting set.... and then the checking the play at the line would start. QB backs off of center and looks to the sideline for instructions. Totally changes the pace of the drive and it seemed to me to cause the QB (doesn’t matter which QB cuz coach pulled this several times per game over the last few years) and offense to get out of their groove.

This second guessing needs to stop. I get that plays must change sometimes based on the defensive scheme, but there has got to be a better way.

If Hammock really likes a DL coach, I'm sure he can hire him before he settles on a DC. Hammock, I'm sure, is upfront with all applicants.

I watched SDSU Jackrabbits play the Kennesaw State Owls in the semi financials of the FCS championship and was very impressed with them. KSU is a strong option team and the Jackrabbits were able to move the ball really well and keep the ball from KSU. Their QB was a strong runner and passer. The SDSU fans represented very well at the home game for KSU. So this is a double plus for me, SDSU gets weaker and NIU gets stronger!

S. Dakota and NIU are not even in the same classification...
