No idea. I just noticed that he was missing from the new roster.

RE: 2019 roster
I’m going to speculate a transfer or he graduated and didn’t want to pursue a master’s. He was “the” guy, and he’s now the #4. He managed to make several big plays even as a backup.

Keishawn was injured at the end of the year. Can't recall what it was. Serious?

RE: 2019 roster
So it's probably a combination of injuries and getting passed up by younger guys on the depth chart. Eskridge, Reed, Hall, Arnett, Bussell, Sanders, Crooms, Coleman. There's gonna be a lot of competition at WR next season.

Bummer about Watson, seemed like in 2017 he might've eventually emerged as a primary go-to guy. Will always remember his pass-back to Wassink for a TD at USC.

I think Coleman will be our 3rd-4th receiver. This kid is so impressive. We are stacked at WR for the next 3 years!

Not surprised Watson left. I don't think he and his family were ever on board with the new staff.

Why? You seem certain I’m both accounts.

Sometimes families are either too vocal at games or on message boards. That's all there is to it.

Perhaps the young man is just graduating in April and enough is enough. And he should just get credit for seeing things through.

We too often forget how staff changes affect the student athletes that signed on with the previous staff. I think there is something to be said for the young men or women that stay on and see things through.

So you don’t know anything. You’re purely speculating.

Why not say so or nothing at all?

Once again, this board (of all boards) should remember the dangers of speculation, rumor, and innuendo. It never leads to a happy place. This is hard for me, but sometimes it’s OK not to know.

Butt, if that's all we have to go on -- it's better than nothing, right? :)

Watson decided to take a road trip, hopped on a bus, played in a band in San Francisco... then decided he wanted to go back into football, and went to Minnesota to make Papa PJ proud. Until I hear otherwise, that is what happened. 03-wink

It's a fan message board. Also...

No clue what ro make of this AJ reed thing. On 1 hand it appears as though he will never make it on to campus. But the staff keeps talking about him which makes me think he is because why would the bother dealing with the questions if he wasnt ?

It's one thing to say straight-up "I'm speculating..." It's another thing to say his family wasn't on board, as if you have some inside information or hinting that there's more story there. Surely even you can agree with me on that! Certainly the guys made by their lawyers to come here crawling with their tails under the legs don't think it's just a fan message board...

RE: 2019 roster
Man this isn’t really that hard to understand. Playing time. Watson wasn’t getting the ball or on the ‘field as much as he wanted and he wants to play ball...

Emergence of Reed and the young guns coming up behind him may be sending a huge signal that it’s time to find his spot and that spot is likely with another team. More power to him... he wants to go get his and he’s doing it the only way he knows how.
