MyBB CUSA Basketball Saturday 1/19
Since there isn't a game that really stands out, Col. Bask considered a sarcastic matchup of the week with UTEP/MTSU duking it out for what could be the game to un-clinch last place. Instead the Col decided to add total conference wins in the match to determine the Game of the Day. Tiebreaker favored the east (this time). Behold:

All times eastern

3:00 FAU at WKU [stadium on facebook]
4:00 La Tech at Charlotte [cusatv]
4:00 USM at ODU [espn+]
6:00 UTEP at MTSU [cusatv]
6:00 Rice at UNT [espn+]
7:00 FIU at Marshall [espn+] (Col. Bask's GOTD)
8:00 UTSA at UAB [espn+]

CUSA Basketball Saturday 1/19
I won’t pick all the games today, but I will double down on my preseason* prediction that Rice would split the home&home with a win tonight at UNT.

We’ve got two wins (vs mid-podders) and two blown double-digit leads in five games so far (only UTSA rolled us wire-to-wire).
Today’s the day we break through for our first win against a top pod team.
I expect a coaching chess match. UNT has stronger chess pieces, maybe Rice has more pieces to play with. You could see huge swings in the last game as both teams kept making adjustments.

Edit: *-preseason meaning pre-CUSA play

You didn’t pick UNT/Rice. FYI

I agree with WKU bounce back but I think MT gets their second win in a row at home.

WKU
LT
ODU
MT
UNT
MU
UAB

I tend to agree. Generally speaking, western div teams don’t fare well east and vice versa.

UTSA won 82-70 @ UAB last year, so hopefully we might be able to pull off another mild upset in Birmingham again this year. I won't be able to watch the game though because I'll be on the road for most of the day today.

UTSA really dominated the game last year in Birmingham. Jackson appears to be healthy, and UAB had a big man (Butler) go down with a torn ACL Wednesday in practice. I’m worried. I don’t understand what happened to UTSA in Murfreesboro Thursday night, but this appears to be a difficult game for UAB.

This Marshall fan is worried about FIU tonight! I'm worried about the big man giving us fits.

Toppers down 6 to FAU at half, I'd rather be behind than up 15+ I think you all know why.
Owls have shot a ridiculous 10 of 17 from deep.
Amazing stat of the game so far is WKU has been whistled for 0 fouls.

FAU is playing extremely aggressive and WKU has been playing off the ball because of the lack of speed, those 10 3’s by FAU sting a little..... just hope that don’t contine. WKU isn’t moving the ball very well right now and can’t get any looks to Bassey,

Wow! what a lopsided foul count. FAU has been fouled the last three times down the court with no call. I don't see how the FAU coach has not gotten a technical for letting the refs have it,

I'm about to watch the NFLPA Bowl on Fox Sports 1. Some of C-USA's teams will be represented in the game today, including 3 North Texas players.

But, I also can't wait to see my Mean Green take the court against Rice at 5. I'm very interested in seeing how North Texas responds following last weeks loss to UTSA.

Refs actually took 2 points from USM and gave them to ODU, even after half an hour of deliberating (much of it after the game had finished.)

Only C-USA could dream up this kind of fuckup.

Wrong. Final was actually 76-62. Officials said 78-60.
