Among the players signing on the first day that reserve/future deals could be completed were wide receiver DeAndrew White with the Carolina Panthers, fullback Malcolm Johnson and safety Tray Matthews with the Green Bay Packers, offensive tackles Victor Salako and Jylan Ware with the New York Giants and center Casey Dunn and wide receiver ArDarius Stewart with the Washington Redskins.
ยท Salako (Grissom, UAB) spent his entire second NFL season on the Giants' practice squad. He spent time last season on the practice squads of the Philadelphia Eagles and Browns.
While the players signing reserve/future contracts are looking toward next season, former UAB standout Rolan Milligan will be practicing in the postseason with the Indianapolis Colts after rejoining the team as a member of its practice squad on Monday.
After being on the practice squads of the Detroit Lions and the Colts this season, Milligan made it to Indianapolis' active roster for Week 16 but did not play. He was released last week.
