Monday Musings
As the NFL coaching carousel spins I feel the college carousel is not done spinning yet. Although I think Creighton is probably staying here. I still worry about Iowa State's Matt Campbell headed to the NFL as many NFL teams look for the next Sean Mcvay and not the next Matt Patricia.
Must win game Friday night national tv at the convo hope we can pack the lower bowl and cheer the team to a victory. Many of us may rue that a coach we could have had (Buffalo's Nate Oates) started his career as a very successful high school coach about 20 minutes down the road from campus at Romulus High School. Is there another high school coach locally that could replace Murphy and take us to the promised land (NCAA?) how about Lamonta stone???
Has early signing day made the signing day in February Obsolete? Good that was a dumb holiday. have to develop players not stars although stars help just ask Notre Dame
Manny Diaz is the new poster boy for free transfers for players. Surprised the U aimed so low wish they went for a higher profile name.
That is all from the 4th bar stool at the pub chasing the 410 dream.

LaMonta Stone's star is not at its high peak. Doubt he would even get a mid-major or above ass't job.
Nate Oats was brought in to recruit and some how he ended up a head coach. Not what most would have expected.
But sometimes life is strange.

RE: Monday Musings
Dear fanfrompowellspub,
I have to get my digs here on U-M. They are a team that will defeat the also rans of the Big Ten, but when it comes to beating very good teams, they always fall short. Having a 10-3 record is good, and most schools would love to have that. U-M fans thought that Harbaugh was going to bring them to the promised land, and he still may, but I don't think so. Everyone of their fans say wait to 2019, but that in itself means that no other team in the Big Ten will be improved or challenge U-M for the title. My wish is they finish second, again.

Michigan is what is besides 1997. Their fans are insufferable and it gives me much glee when they lose. I still find it funny that they refuse to play emu in basketball since we beat them in 2014. Although with how they struggled against binghampon's zone i guess it makes sense.

Agree 100%. I too take joy in seeing UM fans, many of which are EMU alums, upset when their beloved team fails. They've bought all the competitive advantages and control the schedules (think they'll play 3 straight roadies in 2019?). Really wish EMU could played them in FB this year. It would've been a close game.

U of M plays Army second game of the season in 2019. That should be a very interesting game.

Between MSU and UM either fan base gets insufferable when overly successful. It seems any insecurity on the part of MSU, however, always triggers "Wal-Mart Wolverine" attacks. Those guys are nothing but haters; even when they succeed they can't get by without insults.
