Over/under on new JMU coach....2 weeks?

Better not be more than 2 weeks, ideally less.

This has all been known it was happening since last Tuesday.
Signing deadline is Dec 19

Houston search took 12 days, someone posted previous, so I just started with that. I agree and hope JMU is at least in negotiations by the end of the week.

Two weeks?! We need someone by this time next week with signing day.

How many recruits will Houston poach to ECU? It’s not as tough of a sell to NC instead of TX.

My guess, not as many as people worry. Bigger potential hit is preferred walk on players not listed by services.

He brought 2 when he came from El Cid. Also, I believe Taylor Reynold’s mom posted in JMU Nation that she knows of at least 2 who will go with him.

Another reason to get this show on the road ... App St

Good chance we are competing with them for some of the coaches we want once Satterfield leaves.

They are in the same ballpark as we’ve been salary wise, just a bit higher. Plus they have a good situation there for coaches, arguably better than ECU in terms of winning.

It'll be interesting to see if JMU moves as quickly as they should. Obviously every day counts with recruiting and the early signing day, but the longer we wait the more schools we might be competing with. App State obviously if he goes to Louisville. K State needs a coach so they, App State, Charlotte, Georgia Tech, and anyone else I'm forgetting could leave holes at schools that could be looking at some of the same guys we will. Hopefully Bourne and co. realize how important every day is this time around compared to hiring Withers and Houston.

I’d like to see us continue with the trend of younger up and coming head coaches. If there is great experinced hire out there so be it, but I like the idea of being a coach factory given our current status.

Same, I'll be extremely confident for next season with him or Hunt. I'm also curious how likely either of them would be to leave their current job for JMU, so finding out that one of those coaches would consider that jump worth it rather than waiting for a G5 offer would be nice.
