If ND is left out the ACC just got a huge fish... The dominoes will be interesting to watch!

An undefeated Notre Dame isn't being left out. No chance in hell

No question, if Notre Dame was somehow left out, they would join the ACC for football as a full member within the week.

Would be nice. However their scedule this year is soft and they barely won against Vandy, Pitt and Ball St which a top 4 team wouldn't have made it close.

I think the opposite happens:

1. The incestuous loop of being appalled from T-shirt fans would occur on social media, but Notre Dame itself is silent when asked for comment. Just like when your boss or your dad goes silent, you know nothing good is about to happen.

2. Notre Dame begins talks behind the scenes with other blue bloods to ask if they are ready to make some real money and stop playing by the rules of inferior bottom feeders. Just like the Catholic church, Notre Dame makes their decisions with an end goal timeline somewhere between one month and eternity. As opportunity presents itself, Notre Dame invites friends to go independent and establish their own postseason and forget the CFP and the bowl cartels. The first dominoes to fall come from the PAC and Big 12 from schools that know that could monetize much more independently with other powerhouses on the schedule than the conference model. NBC Sports or its iteration by the time this happens is more than happy to cut independent contracts for these schools.

3. The SEC and BIG get what they already see as reality, which is a league unto themselves. The ACC is torn because about half of them are more connected to the Notre Dame types, and the other half is more connected to either the SEC or BIG. So, the ACC schools either join the SEC, BIG, or go independent when their GOR expires. I wouldn't be surprised if this is when Vandy and maybe Northwestern go independent.

Good thing Notre Dame got in the CFP, or there was a 99.9% that the above would happen just as I laid it out 04-cheers

Seriously, Notre Dame will never be forced into doing something. If nothing else, they will double down. I have a mother just like Notre Dame, and I have it in my blood, too 01-lauramac2
