RE: Official Game Thread: Georgia State (L 68-74)
Like many of you, I was expecting a loss here and was happy that we were in the game late. If we were playing this game later in the season, I think we have a better shot at winning it.

The shooting percentage reflects the quality of outside shots. Good was taking really deep shots and overall we just didn't have any sort of offensive flow. Playing inside out didn't work because Armus was either stripped or missed a shot. As the season goes on, he needs to impose his will and dunk those balls. My biggest surprise was Harrison, who gave us a few quality minutes. In the exhibition game he looked totally lost and out manned by a lesser opponent, so glad to see that improvement.

I have faith in Forbes, I think he has earned our trust that the chemistry will be much improved by the end of the year when it matters.

Hopefully he gets it figured out. Tisdale is the man so far. Good needs to find his shot/confidence and hopefully, someone else (Tucker?) will
step it up and we HAVE TO find the range from 3 as a team. First game, played a really tough opponent, the result isn't a surprise but still a lot of missed opportunities for the Bucs. I like our
front courts' toughness, hopefully, the FG % will rise for them, when they get the chance to they need to put it back.
Let's squash the cupcake and get down to business and improve.

In pregame on the radio Coach Forbes mentioned that Hodges had surgery this summer. Apparently that is the injury that he will be dealing with that was mentioned earliier. I think he said it was right at the end of summer practice.

I didn't see this until this morning, but Mid Major Madness had ETSU's game last night in a list of must sees.

"The Better Than The SEC Game" the author called it. (It is near the end of the article). If you didn't have a Buc perspective, I imagine it would have seemed that way - an intense game that came down to the last 1:50.
