I'll be deep in the cold cold ground before I admit Joe Novak wasn't fired.

Joe Novak was not fired, and he hand picked Jerry Kill as hi replacement.

He didn't say Novak was fired. 03-confused
Read your post #11 then the one I responded to.

Still confused. I was referring to opposing teams firing their coach after losing to NIU. Nebraska did, and Minnesota did. Not sure where Novak comes in to any of that. EDIT: never mind, the statement about us and SIU in 2007 is what you're referring to, misread that before.

BYU player very tough on home fans. While we have attendance issues, generally most of the fans at Huskie Stadium and into the game, certainly enough that players would not think the fans are downers and would prefer to play on the road for the better atmosphere.

This has been building long before NIU game - the pressure has been on BYU coach Kilane Sitaki since last year. He was a coveted hire because of his connection to BYU and reputation as an assistant coach at Oregon St and Utah.
Recruiting was one of his strengths and BYU is falling down in the category. The Wisconsin win brought renewed hope, but everything has fallen since then.

Just remind your fellow fans that NIU's defense is better than their 30s ranking(no fcs game this year) and they faced the top nonconference competition in the fbs this year.

Hopefully your next opponent is Hawaii-esque.

Yea, they should know that Utah's offense only scored 10 points, and while Ball State scored 16, they got the ball at NIU's 3 yard line after a pick. Otherwise, just 3 FGs.
