Baseball America Podcast Featuring Rice's Matt Bragga
27-minute podcast. Nice to get some national visibility...
https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/...tt-bragga/
Talked up our quartet of Junior pitchers: Canterino, Moss, Gayle and Garcia. I think the Senior trio of Parthasarathy, Esquivel and Kravetz will also prove to be key contributors.

Some great news-- just heard that Mizzou transfer, RHP Greenwood, has received the NCAA waiver and is now eligible to pitch this coming year for us. (Apparently, he transferred to be close to home since one of his parents has been diagnosed with cancer.) Don't be surprised if he's our Sunday starter.

No, his dad is doing the job Daniel Watson has been doing the past 5 years.

Here's Kendall's D1Baseball Fall Ball report on Rice...
https://d1baseball.com/fall-report/fall-report-rice-4/
...some interesting tid bits (e.g., Garcia and Gayle anchoring the back of the bullpen; Parthasarathy or Greenwood as the Sunday starter), but not a lot of new news. Lots of quotes from Bragga.
I do think Kendall greatly undervalues Jefferies, who is a lot better than simply "pitchability". A bullpen of Jefferies, LHP Kravetz, a once again healthy Esquivel, Garcia, Gayle and LHP Deskin could actually be a strength (as opposed to the liability our relief corp has been the past several years).

100 days until the season-opener!
And with Fall intrasquads concluding, both Trei Cruz and Comeaux ended Fall Ball with several productive outings on offense. On the mound, RHP Greenwood and LHP Deskin were the most promising newcomers. Greenwood is a big kid and will likely be our #3 or #4 starter, while Deskin could be an invaluable left-handed contributor in the bullpen. In his last outing he struck out 6 in 2.1 innings of work. He and a greatly slimmed down Kravetz could finally give us quality southpaw options out of the pen; something we haven't had since Cingrani.
IMO, the biggest question mark-- and it's a big one-- will be offense. We desperately need both DiCap and Edwards to get healthy by February.
