I've been in my Troll Sleep, waiting to once again rise to action. Once troll levels fall to a certain level, like a force of nature, I'm summoned to re-establish balance.

Shere and I both felt a disturbance in the Troll. Once levels drop to a certain dangerous level, we are summoned to re-establish order and balance.

I would think someone in cusa would be much more likely. Perhaps UAB if they get basketball going now that football is getting a new home and seems on a winning path. They fit geography, have history with some teams, and a solid urban market. It would be a few years so by then it would probably be pretty clear where they are going.
Uab resurrected football team because of their fan interest. No chance. I think open invitations would be BYU and Army. Possible based on networks would be random MWC schools like Air Force, Boise, SDSU, Colorado State...
If we lose a member my bet is ODU.
FIFY
Alabama did their best to kill a program in their backyard and couldn't do it. The board controlled by Tide lovers tried to pull the plug and the school/fans/alumni told them to take a hike. They're getting a brand new shinny stadium and their basketball arena is getting a make over.
By the way since coming back last year, they were a bowl team, playing UNT for what could be the division and bowl elgibility. In fact the Blazers could be the biggest threat (which isn't much) to an AAC ny6 team. If they continue to win they play at a so so Texas AnM in a few weeks. Win that and they are looking very good.
Everything you said was true. And I would STILL take Southern Miss over them all seven days of the week.

With the pending football head coaching vacancy at ECU; the JMU fans will be lucky to be able to hold on to their coaching staff.

UAB's Football attendance is better than UCONN's attendance by over 5,000 per game FWIW

For real though?
Their programs have more upside IMO, unless we really want to pretend like women's basketball moves the meter.
I think Hurley was a great hire for UCONN, but will it actually make a difference? That remains to be seen. People forget, UCONN had no national titles before 1999. That's not to discount what they've done in the last two decades, but they are not an all time basketball program like they'd have you believe.

Is East Carolina a state?
East Carolina University. Not East Carolina STATE University.
They're no different than say; Northern Illinois, Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois, Southern Illinois.
Also those four schools are in the area of that state they say they are in. Unlike South Florida which is in North Florida.
Shouldn't it be Eastern North Carolina then?
No.
East Carolina University, East Georgia State College, East Tennessee State University, East Texas Baptist University, University of North Alabama, University of North Florida, University of North Georgia, University of North Texas, South Georgia State College, South Texas College, South Texas College of Law, University of South Alabama, University of South Florida, University of West Alabama, University of West Florida, University of West Georgia, West Texas A&M University,
...Middle Tennessee State? What's that about?
