Also, two big MAC West games this week:
Buffalo @ Toledo
WMU @ CMU (Victory Cannon trophy)
Plus following week:
Toledo @ WMU (Thursday 10/25)
Turd may well roll into the D on November 7 with three MAC losses and out of the MAC West race.
A loss to Buffalo might do it. Not sure I see both NIU and WMU losing twice in MAC play.
Don't get your hopes up. We all know how many times UT has dashed our plans.
Toledo sucks.

Not as many times recently as Huskies have dashed theirs

RE: BYU / Bye Week Discussion Thread
I wouldn’t count the Rockets out yet. They’re defense sucked the first half of 2017. Not as much as it sucks now, but it was still really bad. They turned it around in the second half. That team was much better than this one, but that offense is still a threat.

It is possible that if Buffalo wins big in their last 5 games they could crack the top 25. They do have a weak schedule, with their only "quality" win over a horrible Rutgers team that is Big 10 in name only. They only have 1 vote in the current coaches poll, so they have a long way to go. But if they close out with 5 convincing wins they may get in under the thought of only losing to an option team (Army) mid-season. I think it is a long shot, but it would be good exposure to play a ranked team in the MACC.
If Buffalo is 11-1, they will be in the Top 25, no question. Will have more to do about the P5 teams around then playing each other and piling up conference losses.
If NIU runs the table to get in regular season and wins the MACC over Buffalo, we will have votes also at 10-3!

Toledo up 17 - 7 at halftime. Buffalo looks really bad. No way they are Top 25 caliber.

The Buffalo QB has one of the slowest releases I’ve ever seen. Not surprised Toledo has made a few plays on the ball.

Buffalo is now ahead and in decent control of this game, not over yet though.
Lots of turnovers in that game, and tons of penalties for Toledo that have hurt them. The Toledo D is so bad.

One decent drive here and Buffalo will win this.

The Miami game in Oxford will be a challenge. Chuck Martin has his Redhawks playing hard.

RE: BYU / Bye Week Discussion Thread
I would say our toughest remaining games are:
BYU
WMU
Miami
Turds
Akron
WMU has the easier path to winning the MAC West, having us Toledo and Ohio at home with only Ball St. left on he road.
Buffalo better watch out for Miami, and the winner of their 10/30 game would seem to have the inside track to winning the MAC East.

The game at Akron will be tough. Short week flying east after playing out west.

We can lose the Akron game. Or any other single game and it won’t matter. Beating wmu will take care of a one loss west championship.

Ohio St. on big-time upset alert down to Purdue 28-6. Yes the same Purdue EMU beat.
