Well we will find out who is the least since we play UTEP and Old Dominion.

Just preview the mental picture of UTEP celebrating the end of their loss streak on our field...hopefully that doesn't happen but looking like a coin toss at the moment.

The stadium would need to be summarily imploded shortly after.
That would be rock bottom and honestly, game over for anyone that had any semblance of self respect or shame (which as, illiniowl has pointed out, Rice seemingly doesnt have). So what that means is nothing happens. Although losing to the statistically worst team of all time would be an unprecedented depth for Rice to reach.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that losing to UTEP is so far beyond the stretch of imagination, that managing to pull off a loss to this mythical scenario would need some deep soul searching as to how we could manage such a result. Heck, losing to UTEP is probably more unlikely than getting a 1.0 GPA at Rice. And the latter is so damn impossible that if you pull it off, you tried really hard.

A big factor in keeping the Owls so "high" is SOS. Even if they lose out, it will be virtually impossible to finish at #130 (thanks primarily to the LSU game).

Wow. CuslessA is one bad conference right now, and we're not helping at the moment.

Speak for yourself, dude. I resemble that remark.... Are you talking overall, one semester, or yearly GPA here? On each of those 'no', 'I take the 5th', and 'no', in order.

Btw Antarius, you forget or may not have known that Rice used to have (at least until the early 80's) a bassackwards grading system.
1 == A
2 == B
3 == C
4 == D
5 == F

Unconventional wisdom before it's time?
I was under that system and it was always a pain explaining it to those unfamiliar with such Rice practices.

I was completely unaware. My post was referring to a D average, which given the current grade inflation, takes legitimately active effort to accomplish.
Interesting. And truly unprecedented unconventional wisdom.
Tying back to the point of the post - losing to UTEP is akin to getting a D average or worse. Its beyond not giving a ****. It's so bad, you have to try to suck that bad.

I remember it well. Didn't make sense 50 years ago. And still doesn't make sense.

One of our bottom ten peers from last year, Georgia Southern, is now 5-1.

The exception: The phrase "aceing a test" (or course) made a lot of sense.

I think we now understand why the athletic department fell behind all these years. They kept getting a 1 and 2 and thought they were doing great - they never realized the grading scale had changed.
