I know some may not want to talk about uniforms but..

I wish we would go back to those unis. That logo with the USM with eagle flying through was IMO the best logo we’ve ever had. I know last year we used that logo on helmets in couple games. It looked great

My favorite too. Ill add...shouldn't that be your avatar, rather than a helmet logo NOT your favorite?

Yea, haha! Actually I’ve been trying to change it, but I can’t seem to get it done. I’m sure I’m not doing it right. Ha!

I've seen some very creative fan designs for helmets and uniforms, but we always just go with the stock options available from our provider.

Yea, I bet there are lots of good creative options out there. Like I said..I really like the helmets with USM logo with flying eagle...but i wouldn’t mind the ones EAGLES, like that ones in Favre’s first couple years. I’ve just never really been a fan of “Southern Miss” on helmets...jerseys yes I like, but with it on helmets too..creates too much “Southern Miss”. We should break it up alittle.

The problem with those '81 helmets was visibility. The "USM" was brownish-gold and the flying eagle was brown and gold, and it was on a black background. I really liked them too. The throwback helmets they used were close, but not quite the same. It's difficult to find a good picture of one of them too.
