Serious issues with Trump economy
"While low unemployment is a sign of a healthy economy, it is worrisome news for companies scrambling to hire workers.

There were 757,000 retail-job openings across the United States in July, which is about 100,000 more than a year ago, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The food industry had 909,000 job openings in July, an increase of 161,000 from a year ago.

"You've got an environment where, really, the economy is strong," BTIG analyst Peter Saleh recently told Business Insider. "People are trading up into better jobs. There aren't as many employees or capable employees to do the jobs these companies need."

We wouldnt have had this issue had the Obama administration not pushed 4 year gender study grants like heroin.

We wouldn’t have this problem if there was still a Hussein administration....

Serious issues with Trump economy
This is where the HS students come into play. These are the jobs they do in a healthy economy.

Imagine that.........upward mobility. The way an economy should work - or those paying at the bottom of the pay scales raise wages.

What a novel concept...............but remember what a recent president said "Those good paying jobs - they're never coming back"

What that tells me is that there should be absolutely ZERO excuse for not having a job.

Anyone who claims "they just can't find work" is either lying or too lazy to look.

Now would be a good time to clear out the welfare roles.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!

Unfortunately, we will always have a small percentage of the population that just really doesn't want to work and will gladly allow an entity to pay for them to live.

I mean - I'd surely rather not work, but most people see the necessity.

I was listening to talk radio a few weeks ago and something very similar to this came up.

The host was asking "what do we do about those people who flat out refuse to work". The guy asking the question is left leaning, but not one of these new day radicals.

My way of thinking is pretty straight forward. If someone refuses to work then the answer is F-em, let them starve. Take away the gravy train and watch how fast they change their tune. If someone refuses to take care of themselves, I feel no obligation to do it for them.

Problem is those people are also the ones with 5-6 illegitimate mouths to feed. Children shouldn't be punished because didn't get lucky in the genetic lottery. We can say get harsher with father's paying child support, but for most of them we would just be adding to the already over-populated prison system.

There really isn't an answer for the true bottom of the barrel poverty. My office is a stones throw away from the projects. These people are already living in filth. You can't motivate people that are content with not only themselves living in those conditions, but putting their children in those conditions.

The only solution I can think of is more funding for projects designed to break the cycle. If we can get these kids out of the mindset that all they can do is start popping babies out at 15 or dealing drugs and that they too can escape that lifestyle , we might actually be able to change something.

One big reason for that is each illegitimate mouth is more $$ on the government check. When having more kids is an incentive, some will simply have more kids.

I realize that it's not "the kids fault", however, it isn't my fault either.

Simple solution. “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” Society will pay for the first two, after that, you're on your own. Watch how quickly the breeding express gets derailed when there is no longer a financial incentive.

Starving children is never a solution. I realize it's not our choices that made those kids, but this isn't a 3rd world country. I personally think all of the EBT programs need to go away and be replaced with actual voucher programs. There was a time very early in my families life when we used the SNAP program after my wife got very ill during pregnancy/after child birth with our first child. If you remove the ability to buy whatever the hell you want and can only purchase the basic food groups to feed your family it would be a hell of an incentive. I will never, ever forget how embarrassing it was using those things in the grocery store. The looks I got for using them despite working two full time jobs but medical bills were draining everything we had.

Government welfare programs should never be withheld from families that need them, but it damn sure shouldn't be debit card to buy whatever you want with at the grocery store.

That is why you made sure you didn't continue in that situation for your life.

At some point a society needs to say a baby factory with no means isn't acceptable.....I'd go for mandatory sterilization, but that's just me. I'm sure the bleeding hearts would find that unacceptable......

The way these women operate, that is, having more and more kids so that the government pays them for each is outright child abuse. Why allow this to happen when those women can either have their tubes tied or stop having illegitimate children. Take away the kids and put them in foster care because it's obvious that they're not doing a good job of it themselves. It's child abuse, plain and simple. I can say this because I had a vasectomy after my second son was born and my oldest did the same thing. Why make things worst for yourself AND the children you have by burdening them with not being able to support them. Everyone suffers in this scenario even with gob mint help.

RE: Serious issues with Trump economy
Most people getting help (SNAP) with feeding their children work.....

Take out the seniors that's living off SS and I bet the number is well north of 80% of working families

Here's the problem with all of the jobs when you dont have as many workers...WAGES start going up to help you draw better help. I personally dont see that as a problem but this is how the MACH and David St and other left wing nuts see it...

prices will start going up! Rise your hand if you never seen a post from Mach or David St or any other of the far left making that argument? They were OK with $12 to $15 an hour if forced by the government. But now raising wages is a problem.

I dont care what report is put out by the left....WAGES ARE GOING UP. I see help wanted signs in store windows with $12 an hour, those same jobs were $9 two years ago. WalMart went from $9 an hour to $11 ($12) over the last 24 months. Factory jobs are paying more.....

if you want higher wages this is the way it should be done

With that the % of people on SNAP will keep getting lower....not only lower but even those on SNAP will be receiving less and less as their wages go up. Anyone working at $8 an hour, today...its by choice

RE: Serious issues with Trump economy
Want to do something real and tangible?

Have your church develop and fund before and after school care for working families on assistance.

Give these people some help. Get their kids in a good environment after school.

If you really want to make a difference, there is something needed and with a huge community upside.
