Mods, can we get this guy (Fthechips) of our board? He ONLY comes here to troll and you are aware of his previous posting on our board.
I reserve the right to seek him out when our hoops team blasts his Broncos twice this season.
Believe you said the same about football...

Nope. Not me. I don't make predictions. Now go away. Don't you have anything else to do?

Only reason I came in here is because you guys were talking trash about WMU and waldo. Now that those claims have been proven otherwise I will exit

Fthechips has been on every board railing against EMU. It gets annoying even for other MAC fans.
EMU is really close to beating everyone in the MAC. Hoping they turn the corner except against us of course.

Looking forward to EMU hoops smoking WMU by 20 pts. Twice.

WMU trash = Fthechips = point proven. Don't let the door hit you.
(Note: He'll now come back to respond, trying to get in the last word)

After he made the big catch versus NIU he went down. I saw him on the sidelines with a big bag of ice on the shoulder thereafter. Most likely a separation.

As I see the quarterback situation, Wiegers slightly more accurate with passes then Glass, but Glass is a running threat. The other thing I noticed in the game today, and it may just be my observation, is that they both do not throw the ball quick enough. To me, receivers were open two seconds after the snap, but both delayed in delivering the ball.
I still believe Glass should start over Wiegers because of the run possibility.
I don't know if it would have made a difference, but Sexton did not play today, and I think he is our best receiver.
Ken I am on board with starting Glass. As E Tough pointed out the zone read option play that we run is a joke with Wiegers, he is going to hand the ball regardless of what the DE does. I would rather open the game with a running attack and if we fall behind, then rely on Wiegers to sling the ball as I do think he is a better passer. Glass has another year and the third string QB Grissom's skill sets are more in line with those of Glass. At 2-4 it is indeed time to consider the future.

This
EMU is my 2nd favorite team in the MAC. Hopefully you guys can start turning these close games in to wins. Good game Saturday, I'm glad it was in Kalamazoo.

One obvious difference you can't ignore is our ability to put 24,000 living breathing people in the stadium....
Hell, you might not have 24,000 for the whole year
What's it really matter? It's not like Western is somehow relevant on the national stage. 24000 is laughable to most of D1.
Now go back to your own board and leave us losers to ourselves.
Got no problem with you guys and I realize you were incited but no. There's a huge difference and it goes beyond the numbers. 24,000 people in Waldo Stadium looks and feels like a real college program and that matters to recruits, which matters on the field.

24000 matters in stadiums that qualify and validate a good atmosphere with a high percentage of seats filled. 12000 would do that if the cameras point in that direction... If recruits are on campus? That changes things a bit... But it also matters what the coach tells the recruit.
" This program has struggled in the past but it is trending upward. Facility upgrades are coming and so are the wins
. We just defeated 2 BIG10 programs. Do you want to be a part of the upward swing and uprise of this program? Do you want to be a starter on a team with lots of potential that no one sees coming?"
Or
"We damn near fill our stadium every week. We have terrific facilities and compete at the highest level of our conference. We reside in a city and you will always be working hard for your job. This is no cake walk. We expect to win, and so do our coaches. With every respectable season we have we are less likely to retain the guys who recruited you. Do you want to play in the Peach Bowl? "
Believe it or not...not everybody chooses #2.
