what were health insurance premiums doing before the ACA?
rate of growth in employer sponsored healthcare premiums from 2000-2009 (before the ACA) was 98%
rate of growth in employer sponsored healthcare premiums from 2008-2016 (after the ACA) was 43%

looks like the increase in employer sponsored premiums, which is 55% of the market, was cut in half after passage of the ACA.

43% premium increase from 2008-2016 seems about right. My family deductible has also gone from $500 to $6000 in that time. Unless I get cancer or require a major surgery, my insurance is now useless unless I want "free" birth control.

I'd find a new employer.

Or elect Donald Trump. You will eventually figure this out.

He is an excellent bull sh_t salesman 01-rivals; and there appears to be a healthy market for it.

Yes, they do.
Which one affects me more?
Did you lose your doctor?

Not yet, because I'm still working. But it ruined my post-retirement plans. Basically, Obamacare means I will never be able to retire.

No matter how much you attempt to minimize that, it has a greater effect than Trump's finances, which have absolutely zero impact on me.

Without a doubt the biggest whopper you've ever told here. Wow! 03-lmfao

C'mon Tom. Don't you do tax software for a living? You can't be ignorant of the tax laws. You have to know the rules for releasing tax returns. It's sort of res ipsa loquitur.

I didn't read the entire piece because it's HUGE, but one of the authors of it last night said they examined available returns from FRED trump and his businesses and didn't say anything about donald's returns. So, I'm not even sure any of his returns were actually seen by the writers. So if they were, what evidence does the poster have that they were illegally obtained?

The bolder part is exactly freaking wrong. Can’t stress that enough. People on welfare already had the gold card and what’s worse in my opinion is you know this. Obamacare helped out the working poor. People who made more than minimum wage jobs too. One of two things. You are extremely ignorant (and I believe you are not) or you are delibaretly mischarcterizing who benefits. People on Medi Caid has the gold card bud. I think you know that. That’s what pisses me off most about Republicans. They say they are for the working poor but in reality they can’t be.

Pretty much anybody on medicare in rural areas was worse off. They expanded it and you couldn't see the doctors. Or you had to drive 100 miles. It was already a problem. But the Democrats don't have any rural representatives and didn't understand.

exapanding medicare would save rural hospitals, not close them. providing healthcare for people who do not have it is good for healthcare facilities, not detrimental. A state like Tennessee, at state that opted to not accept Medicare expansion for its poor, has seen rural healthcare facilties close at alaraming rates, and its not because of the ACA.

Bullet,

You are confusing MediCare and MediCaid.......

This is what bothers me about Republicans. Sometimes you are willfully ignorant. Other times you are so unwillfully ignorant that you are easily duped. THE WELFARE CLASS ALREADY HAD great insurance before Obamacare!!!

MediCaid has 10 times the better benefits. It was the working poor who were getting screwed without insurance and DO YOU KNOW WHO WAS PROPPING UP THE SYSTEM? The ones who had insurance but were sick. Those people paid out the nose til their cap was hit. I'll argue this with any one of you. I know I am right. The ones on welfare with the gold card??????? They had it better than any of us.

FACT!!!!!

President Trump did not release his tax returns... therefore I deduce that the NY times should not have copies of them... am I right? or am I right? or am I right?

The NYT is being warned to get it right.

The same attorney that hammered them for a $2.9M settlement regarding their lie about Melania is back after them on this one.

Trump Lawyer Warns New York Times of Tax Story ‘Defamation,’ ‘Substantial Liability’

Quote:The lawyer who won a multi-million dollar libel settlement for Melania Trump is now warning The New York Times about a story suggesting her husband, President Donald Trump, may have committed tax fraud.

Quote: Charles J. Harder, a lawyer for Pres. Trump, declaring the story’s allegations are “100% false, and highly defamatory” – and based on “extremely inaccurate” claims.

Harder warns that the Times allegations expose it to “substantial liability and damages for defamation”
