NTR....But SERIOUSLY.....
Is it just me......Or is the NFL BOOOORING
I'd MUCH rather watch Memphis consistently score with multiple weapons; special teams;Turnover robe; Uptempo offense that constantly scores, instead of these yawners of so-called superstars....
How do you watch a full NFL game featuring the TITANS and the final score is 9-6....That's 3-4 hours of no endzone visits

Well maybe you should watch NFL teams that matter.
Sunday was a great day of football. I enjoy college more but the two are not mutually exclusive.

College atmosphere and passion of the players and fans is way different than the corporate showing of many NFL games. I’ll add that on the field, the NFL pro style offense is starting to go away some and they are incorporating more of the college-like spread offensive playbook. College rules for me at least

NCAA Football would be better if they had a fair playoff system. I do enjoy watching Memphis play more than the pros.

I noticed some times last year, and saw one play yesterday, I forget who, that looked like some of the stuff Fuente runs. I liked that stuff. Norvell may be more productive though.

This is the trump card for me. I love the Tigers in college and I root for the Seahawks in the NFL (started as a fan when I was 2 and got a helmet the first year they played). I enjoy the college gameday experience more, but it sucks that my team has no chance to compete with the top teams in the NCAA. Its not about titles or championships - its more about the idea that we get criticized for not playing the top teams when the top teams refuse to play us.

RE: NTR....But SERIOUSLY.....
I am turned very much off by the free agency, salary cap and recent injection of politics into the NFL. That said, it remains a much fairer system than the feudal serfdom we are forced to endure each season. The playing field isn't at all level - college fans are generally much more ignorant of the game as it tends to be a "social" event.
In the NFL, with all it's faults, all 32 teams spend the same amount of money on their "Programs" and all 32 are eligible to win a Championship on DAY ONE. This isn't case in college. Oh, and the players pay taxes on the money they get paid ... but that's another story.
I usually shut up BAMA fans very quickly when they rail on and on about their God, Saban. I point out that IF SABAN was the water-walker they and the media believes him to be, why didn't he last two full seasons in the pros where everyone has the same opportunity to amass players with talent? Instead he got his ass handed to him and quickly.
It is not unrealistic to expect to win when you spend the most money on the fastest horse.

Defense can be exciting...
If you enjoy football a defensive struggle is not necessarily boring

Understand completely...Although I must admit that I do feel that the opportunity IS there....I’m a little more optimistic, I guess as I look at the situation sorta like what Cal went through....Another analogy is UCF last year and UH I think the year b4....
From this league AAC, We MUST run the table..... Once that’s accomplished then we have a shot....Okay, let’s say we burp, like a loss in conference to Navy....finish the season strong (inside top 20).... Then the following season sets us up for glory, as long as we stay the course.....If UCF remains unblemished... The AAC will have a HIGHER probability of making the final 4.....Notice I didn’t utter guarantee....But it's still entertaining....THIS league requires a different path than others.... as UNFAIR as it may be, it’s still doable and would be fun being David v Goliath

Defense is INCREDIBLY exciting!!!!I was a defensive coach (@ lower level of course)...I had the opportunity to pick the brain of defensive gurus such as Jim Schwartz and Jerry Grey.....also loathed the addition of Dick LeBaeu and what he could bring to the Titans organization....So being able to stomach a defensive struggle normally would suit me to a tee....
I loved the days of Ed “Too Tall”Jones, Bill Bates, Everson Walls, Randy White.... Even HATING the Steelers I’m thrilled that I got to meet “Mean Joe” as a matter of fact, he has one of THE BEST stories on ESPN and we should probably do something with N. Texas, as their star is on the cusp....
Nonetheless, I can’t today..... Maybe it’s the development process that I enjoy so much.... seeing players Evolve like Austin Hall, as impressive as he was before getting injured his initial season and the success as a sophomore.... seeing him fly around the field before injury reminded me of Bill Bates... Seeing Doroland Dorceus develop into what he is to become and Curtis Akins taking over of where Genard left off as well as Tito and TJ as well as O’Bryan becoming pillars of the defense....
To wrap this up.... I started to get into watching” Da Bears” and seeing the crescendo of “Ant”!!!! That was starting to pigue my interest, then boom injury bug....I’ll see how this works out when he returns

In a vacuum, I enjoy college more than the NFL..
But, because college is a cesspool of corruption and completely unbalanced and unfair, the NFL is definitely a better league.

Hoo boy. What a surprise, potshots at the NFL.
Too bad politics were injected when someone called players, literally, sons of *******.
I agree...that injection was wrong.

Politics are politics, I don't remember him specifying. Regardless of where it comes from, politics being injected into the NFL is a bad thing.

I enjoyed the Titans Jags game but I’m a true football fan. The high scoring no defense stuff is more for the casual fan. I actually find teams going up and down the field and scoring every single drive boring

The NFL is becoming more boring every year, IMO. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it probably correlates with CTEs and rules changes.
Have you seen what Clay Matthews has been flagged for the past 2 weeks?

True. Can you imagine the infusion of energy you would get if there was a legit shot at the playoffs for the 65 programs that are left out? Interest would bump-up to a new level. Of course, that would put a portion of P5 revenue at risk, so we can't have that.

Yeah, it is ridiculous. If that is how they are going to be calling, they need to just make the rule the QB can't be hit or tackled. QB is automatically down if you touch him. Because anything more and you might get flagged anyway.
