Agreed. At least 10k attendance vanished with that opening game attendance mishap blunder, so we're more like 33k~ overall 3-home game mean attendance.

That said, that's not a compelling argument. We're clearly sub 30k actual attendance the last two games. The median attendance is closer to 30k our first three games. Last week was beautiful weather and the main excuse I heard was "Friday HS Football?" This week we fulfilled the Webster's definition of "Fairweathers." If the Weathermen even hint a forecast of rain the week of a game, then 1/3 fans won't attend..."Fairweathers."

Up almost 12K a game in 10 years.

Get an OCS and that will go up another 10K.

Calculation error. Should read Temple: 2,736.2

I like it that lazy students can't tailgate till the 2nd Q then stroll into the game.

UCF should have another close to or full house for Pitt game as this will be Parents Weekend so single game tix were already strong a month ago...and now with few tickets left, UCF instituted "dynamic pricing" after Friday's game...moving cheapest 2nd level end zone seat from $45 to $60 to take advantage of the scarcity of tickets.

Just need to hope weather will cooperate for this 3:30 pm kickoff.

Whatever they're doing it's working and your crowds are great. I would guess you'd have close to a full house again for Pitt. 04-cheers

They are going through what USF went through 10 years ago when everyone was on our bandwagon. They should enjoy their success while they can b/c it is not guaranteed to last. See their epic attendance from their 0-12 squad just a couple years ago.

Would love to see their actual attendance from the last three years.

Really dude.... Let them enjoy it, they're in a great place and firing on all cylinders. Last thing we USF fans should do is smack talk attendance.

Yeah really dude....two years ago their attendance sucked as well and this is despite their team having done a fair share of winning. I give them props for this year but lets not pretend thatthey have been packing them for years...or forget that we did the same thing. Success is fleeting.

Dumpster fire 2015 aside, UCF has been putting much bigger crowds into our stadium than USF has. Period.

We know for fact that despite USF winning 10 games last year, you guys had games with 18,000 fans or less actually in the stadium.

Even if our “down” attendance years we still easily put 32-39K fans in the stadium. When is the last time USF actually put 35000 fans in the stadium? How about 44,000 as we’ve done many times since 2016?

We’ve had two games now with student overflow attendance of 15,000 students. USFs social media page was just bragging about USF finally drawing 5,000 students to the GT game.

As I said, you probably don’t want to engage in attendance smack

actually our attendance during 0-12 was more than USF so far this year. So the bandwagon for us is a little smaller. Plus the USF crowds 10 years ago were there to see the big east powers like louisville and WVU. 07-coffee304-cheers

uh 2 years ago UCF averaged 35.5K. Which is more than USF is averaging this year coming off the best season in school history. Maybe time for you to step away from the keyboard. 04-cheers

it's nothing like what USF went through. the big crowds were there to see the opponents, UCF's crowds are there to see UCF. that's an important distinction when building a real fan base.

From what I could see on tv I'd have to say this is accurate. Both of Tulsa's home games looked to have way more people than that Temple-Tulsa game. I know the stadiums are much different sizes, but you still can't make 7,000 people look like 18,000.

Thursday nights are tough. I'm sure they included people like me with tix who couldn't make it.

RE: AAC "Announced" Attendance Rankings after Week 4
Here's some screenshots I saved from the last time someone was trashing UCF's 2015 attendance. This is from the final game, our 12th loss of the season, a 44-3 blowout to our bitter rival. This was probably the lowest point in UCF football history. And yet the announced crowd of 25,967 looks better than what some of our critics get on their best days...

For the 0-12 year you are going by UCF's announced attendance, which everyone knows is significantly inflated.

03-lmfao

UCF 0-12 3 years ago "announced attendance" 30K
UCF announce attendance 35.5K 6-7 coming off 0-12

USF 3-0 coming off best season in school history "announced attendance" 33K

Laughable a USF fan would try and smack talk about attendance where UCF runs circles around USF. 07-coffee3

No way, fans didn’t show to watch a horribly mismanaged team that gave up? Well that’s a startling revelation.

Check the attendance #’s for every year but that one.

Ten years ago USF experienced quite a bit of success and pretty good ACTUAL attendance numbers. It all went away and cratered when Leavitt was fired and Holtz ran the program in the ground. Our administration had/has little appetite for scandal.
However, it is slowly coming back and I can see us getting back to having regular attendance of 35 to 40K for most games….and sellouts for big games. That is all I am saying.

Just a couple years ago we were drawing 17-18K fans. We hit rock bottom. Fast forward a couple years and USF drawing 27K in actual attendance for an ECU team that didn’t travel well as years past and isn’t exactly a glamour opponent. We only sell seats to the lower bowl which has a capacity of ~42-44K….I keep getting different numbers... Either way, based on Saturday’s attendance of 27,000 actual attendees, USF is at ~60% capacity. I’ve been watching USF football since day one…and I can tell you that it is slowly coming back. Fans are tailgating more, getting more vocal at games and using their tickets. The student section has been SOLID all year and the home side of the field is filling up nicely. The visitor’s side is a work in progress. Short of a complete program meltdown, I like the way attendance and interest is trending.

BTW, what UCF has done is noteworthy and their fanbase should be very proud. However, my intention is to fight the notion that USF can’t get similar type of support. We had in the past…and it will happen again. An OCS is part of this equation and will happen… but until then USF has played some GREAT games at RJS with fantastic atmosphere.

They are going through what USF went through 10 years ago when everyone was on our bandwagon. They should enjoy their success while they can b/c it is not guaranteed to last. See their epic attendance from their 0-12 squad just a couple years ago.

Would love to see their actual attendance from the last three years.

actually our attendance during 0-12 was more than USF so far this year. So the bandwagon for us is a little smaller. Plus the USF crowds 10 years ago were there to see the big east powers like louisville and WVU. 07-coffee304-cheers

For the 0-12 year you are going by UCF's announced attendance, which everyone knows is significantly inflated.

07-coffee3

So what you are saying is that UCF does not inflate attendance and we should use announced attendance as factual source data?

im comparing announced to announced since unlike USF we own our own stadium and don't have to release actuals. Don't like it? cry somewhere else
