This is the first American Conference game for both teams and both are desperate for a win to keep on the bowl eligibility track. Tulsa is coming off a 29-20 loss to Arkansa State while Temple won at Maryland 35-14. Temple opened as a 6.5 point home favorite and that line has shifted to 7 points.
Temple and Tulsa have played 4 times with a 2-2 record. The most recent game was last year where Temple won at Tulsa 43-22 to become bowl eligible on the last game of the season.

Yup. This is what I'm going with. Typical Temple.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I'm a manic sports fan, we are either the best or the worst (often from play to play). I usually calm down and can objectively look at it, which this year has made me somewhat unpopular with Tulsa fans.

But I still drink the koolaid and start thinking we can right the ship.

I think this game can show if Tulsa football is a middling team with a chance to find itself, or if the program is a dumpster fire. Mind you, not because I lack respect for Temple - I'm talking about Tulsa's performance. We could lose and it might still look like the team is finding itself, or we could win and it appears neither team is good.

But if we go out there and an inconsistent Temple simply handles us... I think I can draw a pretty solid conclusion.

If Tulsa wins we'll have Tulsa > Temple > Maryland > Texas > Tulsa
