Non D-1 games spreadsheet
Interesting that someone took the time to make this spreadsheet, but looks like everyone is in the same situation.

RE: Non D-1 games spreadsheet
So mid majors claim that they cant schedule anyone but non D1 teams, but all other mid majors are out there also claiming nobody will play them? Something doesnt add up

This has been my point in past discussions as well etsubuc. It doesn't add up if everyone is telling the truth about how hard it is to get games vs other quality opponents if you are a mid major. The schedules don't lie on the spreadsheet.

Simply put if Quality Mid Major A would drop Steed Business and Typing College of the Ozarks while Quality Mid Major B drops Hiwassee School of Cosmetology for Tibetan Monks they could instead schedule home and homes with each other. Nothing much to argue with this point.

That would create so much more interest and excitement from the fan bases while increasing the strength of schedules for each school. The catch is it would also increase the chances of Mid Major Coach A and Mid Major Coach B taking a loss while hurting their chances at things such as 20 win seasons(Bartow's calling card), padding career wins, and boosting winning %'s.

Bottom line if the Mid Majors really, really want to schedule better it CAN be done. Just schedule each other.

Schedule someone.
Even if it means sacrificing everything.

Just do it.

Looks like we are going to make an attempt to remedy this for the 2019/2020 season

If they're all D1 schools and they're all compelled to play in the games, sounds like a step in a good direction. Anything to help get some D1 home games is all right with me.

The alliance idea is a great step in the right direction.

Do your research. *That* Steed College is a better outfit than the one that used to reside in this fair town. Their coach has searched far and wide for atypical typists. And they may have everybody back from last season. (But word is that *that* particular Hiwassee is going to be 'soft' again, even if they look decent in the mirror.)

As much as they say the are going to shake things up, they never seem to stray too far from the old stand by Moe Fine soup bowl hair style. I guess its tried and true.
