I'm hearing Houston's AD aggressively working behind the scenes in scheduling former SWC foes specifically Texas programs and/plus Arkansas.
Houston shares a conference with SMU so we already know that's a lock ... Rice, Tech and TCU shouldn't be a problem... Baylor shouldn't be a problem either, imo... UT and a&m are a work in progress but will come to their senses eventually.

If they could get a UH/UT game the tv ratings for that could easily break every record.

There are more deserving Texas schools to play with Houston
Texas technology, because thay at least will play us and H&M’s to boot, for how much longer?
Rice, because both our stadiums are with in site of each other
SMU, because we’re AAC brethren
TSU, because their even closer than rice, 5’ and that’s close
Texas state
North Texas
Lamar
Sam Houston st
Lone star
HCC

Lol those last two don’t even play football. I would like to see a us beat the brakes off UT though. That would be the greatest thing ever!

One of them is US 84 West, it'll take you to Clovis NM. No one will mistake it for Paris, but at least it ain't Lubbock.

I’m with Tech fans on this one, this was dumb and petty on our part. Tech has been gracious enough to schedule us multiple times over the past decade, and then we pull this stunt on them. I won’t be surprised if they don’t return our calls next time.

Didn't Buddy Holly come out of Lubbock? One of my favorite singers from my youth.

Umm, Tech would not allow us to wear red. We would have had to wear charcoal in the afternoon.
Screw them.

Yes but where did he record his music? Not Lubbock, or Amarillo, or Levelland, Notrees, Plains, Muleshoe, Sudan or Cotton Center. He went to the Mecca.... Norman Petty Studios in Clovis NM, birthplace of "The Clovis Sound."
Norman Petty recorded Buddy Holly and the Crickets, Waylon Jennings, Roy Orbison, the Fireballs, and other 50s rock & roll pioneers.

Ya tech didn’t want us to wear white but then wouldn’t allow us to wear red and said we had to wear charcoal. Not to mention they got free recruiting during Harvey and they kept us out of the bug 12 so screw them.
Tech fans suck and are petty!

Houston should be the bigger man and let them wear white however Texas Tech should not force another team to wear a color they choice. If you ask a team not to wear white then you can’t force them not to wear their traditional home jerseys.

When Tech asked us to wear Charcoal so they could wear White in the summer, we said "OK if the game is at night. Not OK if the game is in the afternoon."
And we're the bad guy because TV wanted a 3 PM kick?
