Latest game...

East Carolina - 24
(6) Southern Miss - 10

QB James Pinkney - 8-19-214-1 no INTs
RB Marvin Townes finished with 59 yards on 20 carries.

Pirate defense forced 3 Dustin Almond INTs, and 5 turnovers overall.

Sophomore DB Kyle Chase returned a fumble 27 yards for the "insurance" TD late in the 4th quarter

---

And still.. East Carolina, despite road wins over teams ranked #19, #11, and #6, can't crack the top-25.

Go figure.

Here are the latest three games from the ECU dynasty...

Army - 14
East Carolina - 24
(pesky Black Knights wouldn't go away for some reason)

East Carolina - 35
Houston - 0

East Carolina - 27
South Florida - 0

Pirates, at this stage are ranked #17 (Coaches), #4 (Media), and are #11 in the BCS Standings...

Memphis - 10
East Carolina - 42
(Marvin Townes ran for 180 yards, Art Brown rushed for 107, and Memphis is supposed to have a defense...? Riiiiight...)

Will East Carolina's dream season come to ruins at the hands of NC State...? Stay tuned...

You did better than me! In my first dynasty season I got beat by Army, but I came back the next week and beat Miami.

I was thinking about you as I was playing Houston...

--

Had a 17-7 lead against Army early in the 4th quarter (7-minute quarters), yet Army kept coming and made it very interesting towards the end, but I survived...

--

I was disappointed in that Memphis didn't provide much competition after the 1st quarter. I tossed a beautiful 81-yard TD to Kevin Roach at the end of the first half to extend to a 21-7 halftime lead and the rout was on....

East Carolina in the rankings prior to the upcoming NC State game:

AP (Media): #3
Coaches: #14
BCS: #6

Of the 5 teams ahead of East Carolina in the BCS standings, three have 1 loss, and the other two have 2 losses.

It'll be interesting to see what bowl invites East Carolina receives, assuming I can beat NC State who will be the best team I've faced in this dynasty season.
