Pretty cool. It be nice if he had some inside scoops but being so far from Houston may limit his comments. I will listen again next week and see how it goes. I think spending some time on the other ongoing sports and not just football would be interesting.

Enjoyed listening to it - good summary of the current state of the program, Bailiff's ups and downs (I thought he could have put conference championships/bowls under Bailiff in a more accurate light compared to coaches that coached in the SWC in an era with very few bowls) and how Bloomgren is doing different things from a recruiting, scheme and coaching perspective.
He had a good point about slowing down the game potentially helping us with keeping games close against higher-ranked opponents (we'll see how that works this week). That said, I think we need a lot better offensive line to fully put the pieces together to work with a pound on the ground offense - not so sure the tight ends are the biggest question mark in running this offense, as he seemed to allude to.
Edit: I would be interested in hearing his take on the PV A&M game, since it sounds like he also did not expect the game to be as close as it was.

He lives in Houston. It was his first Rice podcast. Sorta just testing the waters right now. Not sure what his plans are as far as continuing/what he is expected to do. I'll ask him next time I see him.
