Now that we have a new announcer I really hope they are getting rid of the side Line dude whose been around forever. I think his name is Roberts

Agree. I haven't heard that they are including that. But if they are trying to freshen up the gameday experience, he should definitely go.

He wasn't on the sideline for the last few games of last year-thanks goodness....

I just don't think that an admitted federal felon who was working for the Tigers at the time when he committed the fraud should be representing the school. I know he has served his time but to put him in a very visible position in my opinion, is just not a good look.

Have you noticed that anytime someone brings up, say, Wolo, the same comments come spewing. Did you tweak them? Or is it more acceptable to bash Wolo, for being corny, than Roberts, for being a felon and not really the kind of creature we want representing our university?

Wolo is a great guy. Yes he makes some funny slip ups as our radio announcer but he’s a true Tiger.

Roberts is a complete goofball and should not be associated with Memphis athletics. His shady past on top of his annoying demeanor is just not what we need at the Forum.

I don’t wish him any ill will. I’m sure he’s redeemed his past business actions. It’s more about how bad his timeout promos were.

I know both of them and I don't think they bring down the University in any way.

I do think both could be better at certain aspects of their respective jobs with UofM though. But they're both competent.

Wolo is a great guy that sucks at his job. Good on him for being able to keep it going this long with a talent level that low. He must be doing something right.

Wolo is terrible. He's not smart enough to be as stuck in his opinions as he is. He is not a true tiger - he's a bought tiger. Probably converted over the years - but only because he's been getting paid. And he's just bad on the radio. People that know him like him, that's fine. And it's nice to have that connection. But he's just bad and with all the other program upgrades over his tenure, we deserve better.

Roberts is annoying as heck. He takes away from the game experience rather than add to it. And he's a felon - which does matter. You could find 50,000 people in Memphis that can do what he does who are not felons.

Matt Dillon, Forrest Goodman, Jarvis Greer are all great in their roles.

Reminds me of the story about Abraham dickering over how many "righteous" men it would take to avoid some fire and brimstone. Are you SURE there are that many? LOL But I agree -- that guy needs to buy a ticket to get in games and then stay in his seat.
