Per Matt Norlander tweet:
Quote: Your term to know going forward? The “NET.” How cute. This also means no composite. (Hmmm.) The NET "relies on game results, strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin, net offensive and defensive efficiency, and the quality of wins and losses.”

In other words a magic formula known only to the committee.

They forgot to throw in the "P5 Bias Modifier" variable.

AKA "the eye test."

Looks math based to me...

Seems to be eerily like Kenpom with a cap on margin.

Honestly I think this can help some of the non-P5 programs if there wasn't a cap on margin.

In the past Georgia Tech would get a RPI bump for losing by 40 on the road in conference to Duke at least now they will be punished by losing by 10...But not fully.

Other side is a dominant team in C-USA could win every game by 30 yet that would not be reflected in the rating.

This is what happens when Villanova, from a non P5 league, wins 2 of 3 titles.

Yep the fuzzy math will have built in favoritism for the money leagues. There is always the eye test too. Things won’t change much.

The final death knell for non P5. You can play the #74 rated team on the road, get a win and that is quadrant 1. The cartel knows that non P5 schools get very few of these opportunities and even less opportunities against #1-30 at home.
