And while everyone that transfers does what's best for them, when they transfer sometimes doesn't damage the program. The timing of this one does, which is what my point has been and you refuse to acknowledge.
Clueless...
That's rich.
I have said several times it was not what was best for the program. Please revisit.
Secondly why should Moore be held to a higher standard.
He is no more selfish than anyone else who left.
Funny thing is you would welcome Hurt with open arms even though you previously stated you would want someone like that on your team if you were the leader. Just blind fandom that makes you seem like an ignorant hypocrite
If anyone is being selfish it is the 10 or so people in Memphis who think Moore should sit on the bench just incase White gets hurt or doesn't perform so we have a backup.
Are you counting Coaches Norvell and Dillingham in that 10 people count? Or does that make it 12 selfish people?
Asking for a friend.
I'm one of the 10 or so ... I'm pretty sure that's how it works. Now if your sure your better or perhaps not as good as the other backups ... you transfer out.
So, White is here for two years right? And if McBride looked really good in practice...there goes your chance of ever starting. So, you sit on the bench for the rest of your college career or you move on. Those were his options and he picked the one that worked best for him. I am sure this happens all the time...in fact...it happened to us twice this year.

RE: David Moore has quit the team
“It’s hard to manage as a coach and you do what you can for kids and I understand their perspective, they want to play. It would be hypocritical for me to talk about how much we care about the players and not allow someone to do what they want to do and do what’s best for him,” said Frost, who transferred from Stanford to Nebraska when he played. “The flip side of that is we preach to our guys all the time ‘team before me,’ and it would be hypocritical of us to have someone on the team that was me before team.”
From Scott Frost, Head Coach at Nebraska
I lean towards the latter much more than the former. But at this point it's nothing more than beating a dead horse.
I will say that a lot of big time programs are in much worse shape than us this season because of this. LSU only has two QBs now on their roster. Clemson only has two or three.

Frost can say that... He finished what he started but he essentially still transferred because it was better for him.
Most other coaches bail early which is worse than a single player leaving

That's why, in spite of all he did for the program, I will always have a bit of a sore spot against Coach Fuente.
I will say, other than not clearly communicating with coaches prior, David Moore didn't do anything negative against the program with how he left. I wish him well and think he will have success in the future.
