Looks identical to the last 5 or 6 top 25's from previous years. College football is pretty pointless, a bunch of hype about nothing, when really there are only a handfull (literally) of teams with a legit chance to win it all.

Don't disagree. But why do I love watching it so much? More than pro's...

It would make so much more sense to have the first poll in week 4 or 5 of the season to see who's actually good. That will never happen though...

Agree. I love college football. Can't wait until the Bearcats upset UCLA at their place. Two more weeks.😎

Yep, it's hard to look at this poll each year and not feel "the fix is in" between the P5 and media cartel. Maybe UCF lost tons of talent off that 2017 squad but would any P5 not get the benefit of at least a "top 10" preseason following an undefeated campaign and whipping mighty Auburn in a big boy bowl?

Still, I agree that the AAC has made real strides to be "P6" and we better hope this next TV deal could cement that before realignment rolls forward again.

I have no problem rolling over the last poll of last season as the preseason poll. Maybe UCF lost a ton of talent, but it should be up to the team to tell us whether or not they're still worthy of being in the top 10.

RE: 2018 College Football Preseason Polls
The thing is that any team that brought back their starting QB, and most of their offense would absolutely get the benefit of the doubt.

UCF lost a crazy good LB, and a 1st rounder DB. Other than that, they didn't lose a ton of talent. They're going to be good. The question is how much the coach change will affect things. I know this much....Randy Shannon pretty much sux as a DC. We shoulda all rejoiced when he was brought in.
