Weather looks like it could be iffy and possibly cloudy however if it is not the visitor stands look directly into the Sun at the beginning of the game you will want to bring Sunglasses if the Sun is out. If you get to Annapolis on Friday anyone new to the area we would always recommend attending a noon formation of the Brigade takes place in front of Bancroft Hall at approximately noon, secondly there is a formal parade on Worden parade grounds at 4 p. M. It is one of the most impressive events that a visitor will get to see at the academy. Strongly recommend anyone attending the game tour the the yard it is truly impressive. I recommend the iron rooster or Aunt Shirley's Cafe for breakfast, I recommend the Boatyard Grill in Eastport for lunch I recommend drinks Outdoors on the dock next to Ego Alley for drinks at night, for dinner Galway Bay for crab cakes it is an Irish restaurant but has the best crab cakes in town. Share a milkshake or a giant hamburger that chick and Ruth's Diner, it is Diner fair if you get there early in the morning the Pledge of Allegiance is said right after they open up. Cantler's or Mike's for fresh crabs however both are a slight Drive. Kilwins for ice cream a sweets to eat after the game. Joss for sushi. Rams Head for beer and Loud fun. be at the stadium prior to 3 p. M. To experience the march on and the flyover. Enjoy Annapolis.

Thank you so much! I am printing this and packing it. Any suggestions for dining the rest of the weekend on Kent's Island? I will be visiting the "roots" of my ancestor, William Claiborne. The next time you are in Memphis, please give us a shout out and we will weigh in on all our great sights and sites. We are the friendliest folks anywhere and love to share our hometown. I look forward to being with you all and having a great game, and celebrating the amazing Navy traditions.
04-cheers

Sorry I really don't know Kent Island very well. My son went to the academy and we had season tickets for those for years for football so I know Annapolis and that inner working but rarely had time to venture elsewhere.

My daughter just moved to Dover. We went to rehoboth. Really nice. Might need to come up with a reason to visit again. GTG

If you go, visit the Academy. It’s beautiful campus (Yard), historical and patriotic. The dorm, which holds the entire student body, is full of historic info. There is a memorial to every Midshipman who lost his/her life defending the country. Moving. In the basement is a memorial to Dave Jones.

2 years ago while I was there for the game, touring the dorm, I saw a naval officer standing at one of the displays. Quickly and quietly he knelt down and prayed and then left. You just knew he was remembering an old classmate. Very touching

Davy Jones although dead is not buried at the Naval Academy. Although I did hear that John Phillips of the mama and Papa's was a plebe who quit after several weeks of plebe Summer but he also although dead is not buried at the Naval Academy. John Paul Jones does have a crypt underneath the chapel at the Naval Academy.

One final note is that once the Brigade Marches On to the field and is in formation they will turn towards the awake crowd and tip their covers3 and welcome the away crowd

My wife said there were quite a few folks on her flight this morning that were on their way to the game. Very cool those that can make the trip are going.
