i get why the old basketball thread was deleted..it turned into an insult contest and pissing match...but the entirety of the convo on this thread was civil....the debate of talent vs coaching is inevitable this offseason ..and if memphis isnt top 4 this up coming season it will be the biggest conversation in the aac heading into 2019..not just in this forum but by national media

I think the insults/threats killed the old one. I "recreated" it because I think it makes more sense to have a single thread for off-season basketball news, instead of having everyone start a new thread for each and every recruitment update/ranking/coaching change/etc.

I so want Memphis/ UConn/ Cincy to be recruiting at high level, ranked annually and battling for the AAC crown most years. We missed out on the Big East and this would give us a small taste of that. Wish Louisville was still around in AAC as well

One of the better more balanced and detailed articles I have read on Memphis.

It's clear Tubby had a plan and it should mean that the new staff can develope it's class and have a reliable group of upper classmen to use as a base. It's a solid but not flashy schedule that Memphis can do well in and if on the bubble get a bid from.
