O'Connor cleared waivers and signed back to Bucs practice squad.

This writer felt it made sense to keep Roback over Stanton. Hopefully Roback somehow latches on with a team.

Correct . I was just saying that a writer thought it made sense for the Browns to keep Roback.

Why would he be on it if they kept Stanton as 3rd QB? What would Roback do, hold a clipboard at practice?

Find it hard to believe that Roback won't get picked up on someone's practice squad, with his arm talent, and that last preseason game performance. Don't care if it was against backups........it's all relative. Look at the top 3 QB's on all the NFL rosters and tell me Roback doesn't have more upside than a lot of these guys??????

Agree 100% Tough! He has far more upside than Jake Ruddock, who bye the way outplayed Matt Cassel but is now on the Lion's practice squad. You can't teach a guy to be 6'4" or to have a cannon of an arm like Brogan is and has.

This movie is far from over. Arena football (Kurt Warner) and the CFL (Doug Flute) provide alternative career choices as well.

So what do guys do in the mean time of hoping for an nfl call?? sub teach? get another job? where do they live? so many questions.

I think Kurt Warner was packing groceries at Kroger while working out and then he got "the call".

I'm sure Brogan is around his family home, working out to an NFL regiment, and seeking regular employment. I'm sure his agent is working on back up plans when QBs start getting injured. Got to believe he's going to be on a practice squad by week 8.....

With his popularity on the HBO special, it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up working in another media/entertainment capacity.

I never liked his game. Great arm, terrible, terrible decisions and he had some really good weapons...also, the whole getting beat up before the season starts is not typically how I want my starting QB to roll. That's all.
