Happens more than you would think and I'm glad he got caught. There are some parents out there who won't let you in the house if they see you avoiding a fight.
My mom always tells the story of a mom and her daughter coming to jump a girl after school at the buses because the girl said something bad about the neighborhood around the Kerr Lake. Ridiculous.
I have a question for the parents around here: if you saw your child in a fight with someone, would you go and break it up or watch cautiously to see if they win or lose? I know that if a parent was egging it on, you'd have a problem, but what if it was just the two kids?

I wouldn't think twice about it.....I'd bust in and break it up....
then I'd come with the gravely voice and language that would make them both cry.....
then I'd calm them down with rational thought.....
'course, I never had a reason to do that with MY DAUGHTER....
