Misc Takeaways from MW Media Day with Commissioner Craig Thompson

TV contract:
CBS has first right to negotiate start in April. Thought it could be moved up, but with all the TV mergers influx, CBS will wait to April.

AD's are on monthly calls regarding TV.

BSU special deal still is in effect according to their AD Curt Apsey. Even with change in Admin, the AD is sticking with the terms of membership to the MW.

AD's survey:
#1 issue: Revenue
#2 issue: Start Times

Least concerning issue: Outlet medium. Meaning, they don't care about linear TV or which network or if it is digital. Exposure is now diluted in so many ways. This will lead to some interesting possibilities in the new "TV" package.

Bowl situation: Seems that will still have the Potato, NM & Hawaii Bowl. AZ Bowl will still be tied to. Still working on keeping the Las Vegas Bowl in some way. It is up to the Bowl Committee and not the MW but the MW is keeping in touch with the LV Convention.
