Tubby Smith’s High Point staff
Tubby’s High Point University staff appears to be complete.

His third assistant isn’t Saul... it’s Keith Gatlin.

Keith Gatlin was a local high school winning basketball coach.

I guess Tubby learned his lesson?

RE: Tubby Smith’s High Point staff
If I were to take a guess I would think that the entitled, worthless Saul thinks he is much too valuable to take the money highpoint would pay a 3rd assistant. He probably thinks he is next in line to take over at Duke when Coach K finally retires.

Also looks like Tubby chose/was asked to retain one of the former assistants of the previous HC.

Lol...Market demand

TTech and High Point were picking up a fired coach we were trying to lure him away so he had the leverage.

Yeah, the only difference is that Tubby has to pay Saul out of his own pocket for doing nothing instead of us paying him.

Tubby’s pockets are deep, well lined, and stuffed with cash. You are welcome, Tubby.

not interesting per se.
I guess it means no one cares enough about the guy to bother entering his accomplishments into Wikipedia?

Only one that cares enough is his dad and his dad has no clue what wiki is.

RE: Tubby Smith’s High Point staff
I'm thankful every day that things worked out the way they did. If Tubby had been forced to retain Daddy Lawson, stabilizing the program's future and perennially sneaking us into March as a 7-10 seed, we'd be mediocre for a long, looooong time.

Yes and no, the Tub deserves what he is getting. He took advantage of his situation and spit on Memphis and the fans.

It's okay to be angry at a lazy coach who was getting paid 3 mil per year

If the lazy coach told the Admin like has been reported that it will be a slow rebuild process while interviewing and they still pulled the trigger that is on them.

That is like hiring a ditch digger and he tells you he has a bad back and you get mad at him for going out on workers comp with a bad back.

That's true, but what is also true is....

When the Tub gave his post-hiring press conference he was asked about recruiting concerns. His response was he was going to hire a top recruiter. He hired Saul.

So if he were telling the media and fans he was going to "hire a top recruiter" I am willing to say he told the Admin he was going to be doing certain things as well.
