Private payrolls miss expectations......
.......because companies can't find enough people to hire. 03-lmfao

Quote:“Business’ number one problem is finding qualified workers,” Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, said in a statement. “At the current pace of job growth, if sustained, this problem is set to get much worse. These labor shortages will only intensify across all industries and company sizes. ”

Good god we can't have that. That will mean higher wages for American workers, maybe even black and hispanic workers. This must be stopped!

RE: Private payrolls miss expectations......
Immigration has been used to control wages:

Illegal immigration to keep blue collar wages low.
Legal immigration (H1B) to keep white collar wages low.

We've always heard that "immigrants" do the jobs Americans don't want to do.

Reality is, Americans won't do certain jobs for the poverty-level pay that illegal immigrants will do.

Instead of $8/hr picking vegetables or framing houses, I bet they'd have plenty of candidates for $20/hr jobs.

If some of the soy boys living in mommy's basement would actually get a job, it would help.

Any job that doesn't pay $100k with full benefits, unlimited expense account, access to the corporate jet, company Mercedes or BMW, and mandatory naps for a person with a Master's in French Poetry and a minor in Hugs, is beneath these people.

Just a few short years ago we were told we needed to average 200k jobs per month just to account for population growth.

We did. Obama failed to deliver.

Trump now has the economy booming, and there is a shortage of workers for certain positions, especially construction and tech. Its amazing how a degree in f*cked up gender studies doesnt even qualify you to swing a hammer.

the numbers from ADP don't really bear this out. In 2016, we were averaging about 12,350 manufacturing jobs per month and in 2018 were averaging 12,590. In construction we were averaging 6800 newly created jobs in 2016 and now that number is 7100, and information technolgy is basically flat @ 2700.

We've seen some increases in some areas but it certainly doesn't justify those mediocre jobs numbers.

trump hasn't really done much to account for any positive change in the economy. It's still too early to tell if the tax cut has done anything as far as jobs and/or pay increases.

Not to mention the estimates that all this tariff nonsense will have severe repercussions.

Meanwhile, the budget deficit and national debt keep soaring. Remember those and how important you all said they were when Obama was president?

the best thing for Trump, politically, is for the Democrats to take control of the House. The deficit numbers, by all accounts, are going to significantly spike due, in part, to the republican tax cut, and Trump can place that blame on the "tax and spend" Democrats. Likewise, if the economy bottoms out, as many are predicting, that too can be laid at the feet of the Democrats. Trump is going to need a fall guys, and House Democrats can provide it in 2018.

If he has to stand on his own in 2020, he'll lose.

I'm not worried. Businesses don't exist to grow payrolls. They exist to grow profits. Let's see how that goes.
