2nd - GMU
3rd - St Joes
11th - Duquesne

GMU has everyone back, plus UVA transfer Jarred Reuter.
St Joe's gets back two all conference level players who missed last season due to injuries.
Duquesne is a little unknown because they have five transfers eligible.

Never know how the OOC rpi will play out until games played, but an early look has this as a very, VERY good opportunity, especially with the GMU and St Joe's games at the Kap. UIC, ND, Marshall and UVA will have high rpi numbers. Radford will continue to rise with their current coach, and Tubby will make HP better immediately.

This will be the best fall of basketball in a long time, if this team can maintain the level of recent years starting right out of the gate. I hope pregame marketing and in-game atmosphere plans are being ramped up to support this opportunity. It is a real chance to get the Williamsburg community coming out in bigger numbers than we have seen in a long time, if the prep work goes after it. A great fall turnout will become invested and continue throughout conference play. Time for the Kap atmosphere and numbers to return to the Parkhill years.

Add to that with ODU adding a 4* LSU grad transfer, 7'1" 290 lb center, and Hampton has Marrow still around. There are no low end games here, except the D3 tuneup game. Season ticket sales should break some numbers.

I met and talked with the AD last weekend at a golf outing. We talked exclusively about scheduling and this schedule. She fully understands the complexities and importance of scheduling. We can expect more of this in the future.

What does this say about the prior AD?

Shes doing a great job. Have to think Rev laid a lot of the groundwork but she clearly took the bull by the horns.

League schedule is out now too. Disappointed to see that we don't have a home game for Charter Day. That weekend was the perfect setup for Gold Rush.

Potentially 4 home conference games before classes start (I assume don't start before January 12) stinks

Will be interesting how they handle the Gold Rush game. We have three Saturday home games after the students return on 1/19 vs Elon; 2/2 vs Delaware; and SENIOR day 2/23 vs UNCW. Doubt they would do Senior Day so the likely choice is Delaware on 2/2 but I would vote for doing it on 1/19 as Elon will probably be a better foe than Delaware and it would generate excitement for the returning students!
