What if the Big12 poaches the PAC12?
Given the recent financials, the Big12 may have a better chance of survival than the PAC12. Let's say WV is released to the ACC as the first step, which makes a westward expansion much more feasible. The Big12 then pulls Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah from the PAC12. Colorado jumps off of the sinking ship and returns to the Big12. Add BYU and the Big12 becomes the Big14. The PAC12 would be forced to backfill with some combination of other California schools, Nevada, UNLV, and Boise State. My guess is they would become the PAC10.

It would give the appearance of stability by getting another P5 league's teams but I'm not sure it would raise the net revenue per team in the league over the current revenues.

The only reason the PAC "appears" vulnerable is because athletics have a low profile compared to Eastern schools. The 4 Cali schools, UW, and Oregon are rock solid about sticking together. Oregon State and WASU aren't going to rock a boat they can't afford to have sink since their prospects without the PAC are negligible.

What folks don't grasp about the Arizona schools is that they derive large numbers of students from Southern California and the are way more tied to the PAC than posters realize.

IMO the only real potential prospects are Utah and Colorado. Utah is almost in the same boat as Oregon State and WASU so I'm not sure how desirable they would be to the Big 12. Colorado wanted the PAC forever but if money is an issue the Big 10 would be who they would turn to.

So the Big 12 poaching anyone is far fetched at this juncture.

Last month the GDP of California (if taken alone) would have ranked 5th among global economies. The PAC isn't going anywhere.
