And I do realize going forward there is a new transfer rule anyway.

Only other scenario would be in the old rules if he was "not released" by his old school. In that case he could still transfer, but HAD to pay his own way for a year and I don't think he was allowed to participate in team activities for that year. But the "release" rule was killed last year.

Although some conferences can still have restrictions about transferring within the conference. So I guess we finally found the silver lining in the fact we're not in the ACC with Lousyville.
