Good question.

Meanwhile, WMU has two Saturday home games:
Sept. 15 - Delaware State
Oct. 6 - Eastern Michigan

At least the home opener is a Friday night game vs. Syracuse. I'm okay with that.

Yeah, I'd think a Friday night game for the first weekend is a plus.

EMU does similar (same) and it is related to freshmen orientation.

There is a negative relationship between the quality of the football team and number of Saturday games.

The best way to get a lot of Saturday games is to have a BAD football team (that no one wants to see in 'prime time').

P.S. Anyone before ever describe those midweek games (e.g., BG @ EMU) as 'prime time' football games? 04-jawdrop

Or you can still get screwed if you are a bad football team but have a recent 10 to 15 year history of being good

For the most part, I don't think there's any correlation between how few Saturday games you get and how good you are.

Toledo has 5 Saturday, Black Friday, and 1 midweek. Lots of tailgating to be done this season.

Ohio has three Saturday Home games. I get the weeknight thing and to a point I'm actually quite in favor of it, but only three home Saturdays is f***ing bull**it
