The 7' footer that SMU got is suppose to be a reasonably good athlete!! A big SMU booster told me last week if they got him, at that time they thought they would, they wanted him to red shirt and try to put 25 lbs on him his red shirt year and 20 lbs on him his freshman year. They don't think this will be any problem at all. They are, maybe plesantly so, worried a little that he might grow another 2 or 3 inches which means he would need to add a few more lbs., but they expect him to be a serious force by the time he is a sophomore with two years of practice and an additional 40-50 lbs. It was suppose to come down to SMU or an ACC schools but he supposedly liked the smaller private school. He told me if the kid put on 50 lbs in college, which would be nothing over 5 years, the pro's thought he would be drafted. I knew this new SMU coach would be a good recruiter!!!
