Love the new name of the football Forum in honor of chipdip (Dan). Thanks to Swagger!

I'm sure our friend is going to be up there doing what he can this season for our (his) Broncos. If CMU's players fall to the ground for no apparent reason, credit the tackle to the Dipster.

I love the idea, but wonder if it might be better to call it the ChipDip Bronco Football Forum? As has been stated by others, this ChipDip persona was not necessarily the same as his real one. Plus, that's how nearly everyone on here knew him.

Also a plus...it would live forever to stick in CMU's craw whenever they come here...

I love the name. I do agree it should be Chipdip instead of Dan's name. I mean that's even what I called him when we'd talk about him in real life.

I like the idea, as well. Better yet, I think Dan would probably prefer it. He wasn't Dan on the message boards ...he was ChipDip. I suspect there are hundreds of sports fans from other MAC schools who knew him as Dip who would want to know that he's gone. The name Dan Burgardt was not known to most of them.

Never met him. Our online persona is our moniker.

In front of the monitor, ChipDip seems more appropriate.
