Had a chance for some big innings early but only got one. Could have used some 2’s or 3’s instead of 1’s in the first few innings.

Keyes is one of our top relievers. Someone posted his numbers coming from the pen and they were complete opposite of his starts. He retired the first 6 batters he faced before he started leaving pitches belt high.

He certainly has a knack for meltdowns.

it's amazing how solid he can be until something 'happens'......

the first homer he gave up was simply a great at bat....he hit a well located pitch opposite field

however, the second one was a hangin' curve in the bread basket that a 12 yr. old would've jacked blindfolded....

he's definitely our team leading jekyll/hyde pins/needles guy....

That's the thing with a big 12-6 curve....if it doesn't get as sharp of a break as you want, it is going to be up in the zone for a batter to tee off on.

He threw 110 pitches in 5.2 innings last mid week vs Texas Southern giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 9 hits with 5 K and 3 BB. That's just a guess for now but considering he did pitch in their only game last midweek and didn't pitch over the weekend as well as being a lefty I would assume him. Once I see something posted I will update

Tulane (rpi 82) lost 2 of 3 over the weekend at UConn (rpi 13) but have been on a good run over their last 12 games going 8-4 with series wins over Houston (50) and East Tenn St (104) as well as a midweek win over LSU (53).

baseball blew it last night. Good grief, all we do is beat bad teams every weekend.

Anyone know anything about a fight breaking out in the stands between a couple USM and Tulane fans? Tulane only had about 6-10 fans so it couldn’t have been very much. Heard from a friend of a friend it happened around the time the game ended in the first base bleachers.

Heard about it. Didn't see it, though.

Hate I missed it. Ha.

I was sitting right there. Left after the last out. The only Tulane fans I saw was a family of 4.
