Did anyone go to the show last night? I saw we inducted him into the Hall of Fame with Brett Favre and Rodney Bennet by his side, he had a huge smile on his face. Not many universities have alumni worth half a billion dollars. The last time he played in Hattiesburg he had a bad experience and even said the he would never come back. He and Sounders were friends and it made him even more uninterested with the university when we booted her. From what I've heard he had a great experience at USM as a student and it was an integral part of him becoming a musician. I think last night helped get the sour taste out of his mouth. Wishful thinking...

I just wish he was more into sports. He's the type of alumni you need on your side, just like T. Boone Pickens. Someone who has the money to say "Fix the arena, upgrade the football stadium, put my name on them and we'll be good."

Last night he showed no signs of having a bad taste in his mouth. He was genuinely happy to be back. He said he’d been wanting to get back to play Hattiesburg again for 30 years.

Uhh, I'd actually think the majority of large universities have an alum worth 500 million.

State has an insurance exec worth a 1 billion+. Pretty sure the guy that owns Mossy Oak is a State alum, too. Probably worth a ton as well.

There's also a bunch of rich folks who don't care to give a ton of money to their alma maters. I don't blame them.
