Everyone keep in mind that though our culture celebrates the Resurrection on Easter, Easter actually has nothing to do with it.
He was crucified on PASSOVER, which actually fell on Saturday this week. Typically Easter and Passover are weeks apart, this year having both on the same weekend is rare.
It matters a lot because Christ is our Passover lamb, not our Easter Lamb. If Christ was not Crucified on Passover then He is not our Passover Lamb and not our Savior.
Easter is an ancient pagan holiday that the Roman Church adopted for celebrating the Resurrection 1700+ years ago. The church of that era was very antisemitic and wanted to have nothing to do with a Jewish custom.
Its probably best to look at it as "Resurrection Sunday" since Christ did rise on a Sunday. That is also why we have church on Sunday instead of the Sabbath (Saturday).
