Tubby Vs. Penny Financials Scoreboard
It would be cool if we can update this as reported ticket sales continue to roll in.

Tubby Prior To Firing
$3 million salary
$3 million Total

Penny Day Hired
$1.5 million Tubby salary
$1.5 million Penny salary
$3 million Total

March 29, 2018
$1.5 million Tubby salary
$1.5 million Penny salary
- $1 million ticket sales
$2 million Total

We are $1 million ahead in only 9 days. This also doesn't take into account the fact that ticket sales would have gone down even more, or ticket sales before Tubby was hired.

It would be cool if we can update this as reported ticket sales continue to roll in.

March 29, 2018
$1.5 million Tubby salary
$1.5 million Penny salary
- $1 million ticket sales
- $400,000 Grizzlies

$1.6 million Total

Updated March 29th

I heard Rudd say that either in the first week, or first two days after the announcement (can't remember which), season ticket sales jumped 37%.
That's insane.

Dont forget about the $800K Fedex Forum payment we will get again with ticket sales this strong.

So Tubbys 1.5 million per year is already offset by 1 million + in ticket sales and 800k in the Grizzlies bonus. 1.2 million more and we've got Penny's contract paid for too.

RE: Tubby Vs. Penny Financials Scoreboard
I know of 10 people who dropped their season tix (don't know the total ticket count per person) and stopped their TSF donations during the last 2 years of Pastner and didn't renew when Tubby was hired. With the hire of Penny, all are back on board, with TSF donations and season tickets. I think it's safe to say, the atmosphere in FEF next year will be quite different than in the previous few years. It's amazing what one cent can do in saving the life of a college basketball program.

So far it’s been a homerun hire.

I think we're all assuming the Tubby payout will be full salary over 6 years. But I haven't seen that announced anywhere. Could be a lump sum settlement, or possibly an offset with High Point.

According to many, there is no offset in the contract. Even if there were, the salary he is receiving from High Point is said to be small.

It's well reported there's no offset in the contract, and I believe that to be true. But we don't know if there has been a negotiated settlement that would lead to a new contract.

Also, according to some, High Point will pay much better than assumed. Maybe approaching 7 figures according to Calkins.
