With the release of Frank Harris's statement of Jason & John today, does that the end for hopes of a Tyler Harris and Alex Lomax back-court? It would be a very guard heavy team going forward if Harris joined. I would love Tyler Harris here, but I am not sure he would meld with the top 100 guys Penny would bring in 2019. Also, looks like he would not take to coming off the bench, the role he would be best in at Memphis.

We do have a recruiting forum where this is being discussed.

I have no inside knowledge at all but reading the tea leaves I am willing to say Harris will NOT be at Memphis.
I always prefered Lomax as a pg but after the comments by his father yesterday I am not sure Harris would buy into the system as it will be. Might be best for everyone for him to go to Baylor.

Better to get it out now than get on the team and start whining when things don’t go your way.

A hint that the poster was mistaken about a fence being around Memphis. Just pointing out examples from different eras. Those you posted are great examples, too.

That right there is why I never bought into Tyler Harris coming to Memphis.

I wouldn't mind it or be surprised if he did, but we know the back story and history repeats itself.

It would be cool to land both Tyler and Alex, they would be experienced for 2019 and ready to run the team.

Until the kid signs with Baylor is when I'll personally believe it. Just me though. I still think he goes to Memphis.

Lomax completely shut down Tyler Harris when they played on the state regional. He is 5'8".
On the college level, he will face bigger and stronger guards every night.

Tony Harris.. part II???

I would love for Harris and all other local kids to come to the program, but if they don't feel its their best place to succeed then they shouldn't come. I would prefer a kid go somewhere and be happy rather than spend a couple of years here and transfer away.
